Yarrow is an astringent/drying herb that is common in North America and often used as a tea or an herbal extract to help dry up “leakiness” from mucus membranes. Yarrow can also be used as a styptic, whether the plant is fresh or dried.
Contraindications: This herb should not be used during pregnancy except under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner. People with allergies within the Asteracea family should use with caution.
